Outline:  Peter LaPlaca is Professor of Management and Marketing at the Barney School of Business of the University of Hartford, USA. For the past 23 years he has been a journal editor, currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of Industrial Marketing Management, the leading journal in the field of Business-to-Business marketing and one of the top marketing journals in the world. To help the growing number of researchers improve their writing, Elsevier has put together material from over forty journal editors into a presentation entitled "How to write a world-class paper." This three hour seminar is applicable to all disciplines; many of the examples are from the sciences, engineering, and specifically social sciences and business. Dr. LaPlaca has conducted this seminar numerous times in China, Taiwan, England, Italy, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands, Russia and the USA. The largest audience he had was about 225 people in Shanghai last March. The seminar can help researchers improve their acceptance rates when submitting to top international journals.
